2nd Annual JAMMIN' IN THE HAMMOCK BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL - Feb 14th & 15th

Do you like to listen to guitar and banjo picking in the ambiance of the great outdoors? The Friends of Collier-Seminole State Park sponsor the second annual Jammin' In The Hammock Bluegrass Festival, a major fundraiser for the park, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14 and 9:30am to 6:30pm, Sunday, Feb. 15, at Collier-Seminole State Park, 20200 E. Tamiami Tr. (17 miles east of Naples).

Six bands will perform, including Carolina Road, The Doerfels, The Fleas, Bluegrass Stagecoach Band, Swinging Bridge and Angelica Grim & High Action, with an open mic each night. Mike Robinson is the emcee. Sunday morning will feature a Southern Gospel jam at 9:30am.

Vendors will be selling pulled pork, barbecue, curried chicken and rice, sirloin burgers, Italian beef, chili dogs, quesadillas, pasta, fish, salads, jalapeno peppers, onion rings and jerk chicken. Also, don't pass up the always-popular funnel cakes and kettle corn! There is a covered area for the concert: bring your own chairs. B athroom facilities are available and 100 percent of net proceeds benefit the park. No pets, alcohol, smoking or coolers are permitted in festival area.Admission is $15 each day or $22 for both, with free parking. Children under 13 are free.
