Bikers will ride to help homeless animals on Sunday, March 15 in Collier County. For Footed Friends Pet Food Store has organized a poker run ride in an effort to raise funds for the Collier County Domestic Animal Services Donation Trust Fund. “Poker runs are always very popular, because it gives bikers a wonderful cause to get out on the road and experience local hot spots, while helping a deserving cause like ours,” said DAS Volunteer Coordinator Kathy Drew.
The For Footed Friends Dog Poker Run will leave on March 15th, from the For Footed Friends Pet Store located next to First Watch Restaurant at 13020 Livingston Rd. Stops for the poker run include a tour stop at the Domestic Animal Services shelter, Iron Rhino Saloon, Everglades Motorcycle Service and then Naples Harley-Davidson and Hooters Restaurant. Harley-Davidson will be hosting live music and a pig roast for participants as a thank you. The first bike goes out at 10am and the last bike comes back in at 2pm.
The cost is $15 per bike or vehicle and $5 for an additional poker hand. At each stop, participants pick one card and at the end of the run, the highest poker hand wins a prize. All vehicles are welcome, so if you do not have a motorcycle, hop in your own vehicle and drive with the pack. It will prove to be a fun day to benefit a great cause with many local sponsors.
To register you may show up between 8-9am the day of the event at For Footed Friends Pet Store or you may pre-register at Domestic Animals Services located at 7610 Davis Blvd., Harley Davidson on Pine Ridge Road or at For Footed Friends at 13020 Livingston Rd.
